Handspun yarn

Here are some of the steps to making a handspun yarn from a variety of different fibers.

First I used my Ashford Wild Drum Carder.
The next picture is of the batts I took off it.  The final picture is of the finished product.  I plyed it with a gold sparkly yarn.  It really perks it up.  I was so happy to sell it this week at the market, and to a friend which was even better.  She is going to incorporate it into a quilt.  Can't wait to see the outcome.  The fibers I used were Border Leister wool, mohair, and alpaca.  The best part is to see someone excited to use it.
